LJ and me.

Hello all.
It's been a long time, sorry to be a stranger, but LJ seems to not like me most of the time. I can't seem to change the communities that I post to, I'm pretty certain the RH and LOTR readers are not very interested in a Wallander/Spooks Crossover, but LJ just keeps posting there all the same. I can't get the LJ cut to work, well when it does I've no idea how it happens, fairly random as far as I can see. I always thought Fanficnet was the pain in the arse to post on, but LJ has now succeeded in sending me running for the hills.
For anyone still vaguely interested in my stuff, I'm on FanFiction.Net, Wattpad or Dreamerfiction.
So sorry to have lost the first place I could call home as a writer of fanfic, it does make me sad.
Love Caty

Aww, sorry you're having so many problems with LJ. I can't account for why. Apart from the times LJ is under malware attack, or is having 'technical glitches', I've not had any major problems. Perhaps we use different software, hardware, whatever-ware *shrugs*

I'm always pleased to keep up with your work (don't know Wallander, so I skipped that particular fic - possibly my loss!), so I'm now following you on ffnet, in case you decide to no longer update your LJ. As you may know, I'm over on ffnet (same user name), also at A03, but not Wattpad or Dreamerfiction, if you ever want to catch up anyplace other than LJ. I am going to stick with LJ though, even if it does feel like a sinking ship sometimes, so anytime you're passing, feel free to give me a wave, or possibly throw me a lifebelt!

Hello my darling, lol, I have nothing but problems with LJ, can’t use my tablet to comment or post, it won’t let me open comment on my own page most of the time.
As for posting my fic’s, oh, la, not happening at all, it causes major headaches every time I try. So now I have now officially given up trying.
The Wallander fic is a crossover with Spooks, it has Magnus, the adorable Tom Hiddleston, AND the dreaded John Bateman my little sweetie RA (the dumbarsed plot nonsense from the Spooks people mad me quite annoyed, so I decided to write my own Bateman). To compound the confusion, I’ve set it in 1890’s Sweden, and made Magnus the inspector, and Wallander the constable. Bateman is still a murdering bounder, but definitely NOT a crying, roof jumper off’er!
But that is beside the point.
I will be around, just prob not here. Wattpad is much easier to use for technophobes like me, and I seem to have become a moderator on Dreamerfiction, not at all sure how that happened, I was prob just around so long they felt sorry for me
I work constant nights now, so my posts and comments tend to be at weird times, and occasionally unintelligible.
But I’m doing a massive re read all round.
Sorry this had grown to massive proportions, best end before LJ realises it’s me!
Love Caty

LJ does seem to have it in for you Caty, I agree.

Your fic sounds interesting/intriguing, and I adore Messrs Hiddleston and Armitage, so maybe I will go take a look sometime. (I've added you to my author alert on ffnet).

Working constant nights sounds urgh, but I suppose you get used to it after a while; I've never done anything but 9 to 5.

I hope you'll still drop by the old place from time to time, even if it's only to say hello, providing LJ doesn't swallow up your hello, of course.

Take care, and see you round.

I'm sorry to hear it! :( Mind you, LJ is being a bitch these days! It's always nice to see YOU! :D

Are you Whatcatydidnext on all of those places as well?

Oh, it's so good to hear you, how's the flat, and the job, and all you friends? We never did get to do the London meet up, But...
As I've just told Jadey, LJ has defo got a problem with me, it loathes my phone, and refuses to speak to my tablet. I have been told it's prob to do with some adobe issues? but all I know is I feel cut off.
But on a lighter note, yes, I'm whatcatydidnext everywhere, it's easier, I'd forget where I was otherwise. As you know I do get a wee bit confused...on occasion;)
Actually I could do with your advice, my latest fic is set in 1890's Sweden, any input as to... well anything actually! Sweden is woefully under reported in so many things I've been looking for. The history side is almost generic. Vikings and Norse Gods, tons of stuff. Police uniforms, organizational stuff, governments and political information is dire, in fact social history is almost nil. I did get caught up in reading about the Sami peoples, been listening to a serious amount of folk music. It reminds me very much of Celtic sounds.
Oh, darling such a lot to say, but I'm on permanent nights, so now I have to walk the dogs, do some washing and get ready for my shift.
Please can we stay in touch, I miss the uncomplicated days of RH loveliness

Sweetie! :D

I'll be honest: I check LJ once a week tops. Are you by ANY chance on Facebook?? (I hate talking on the phone, LOL!) Loads is fine, loads is a struggle! Working my way to be a sought after educator. :) Not a lot of money, so no travels... But one day!!!

And if I can offer ANY advice on Sweden, have at me!! :D Loads of Swedish sources, of course. Rural to boot! But socialistic movement, towns growing...

I pulled this wiki article through Google Translate, just to amaze you with some things going on. ;)

Also, I actually saw Tom Hiddleston walk around in Ystad when he was there shooting Wallander, LOL. Mostly kept my eyes on Kenneth Branagh, since I used to be a big fan. :)

Branagh was a crush of mine a while ago. Actually I watched Wallander because of him, and was sidetracked by the long legged, sarky young 'un! It was down hill from there on I'm afraid. Loki sort of sealed the deal...
Sorry it's taken me time to get back to you, I'm just off to read the stuff on your link. I seem to sleep and work now. The idea of night work was to reduce stress and give me more time to write, it hasn't worked out that way though.
